A Shiraz made with the Braai (BBQ) in mind! A ripe and juicy Shiraz, packed with dark fruit flavours and black pepper notes on the palate.
This is the first Pinot Noir that we have imported directly to the UK and we're delighted that it comes from Matthew van Heerden along with his superb Chardonnay. Like the Chardonnay, only 3 barrels were produced and we've brought just 240 bottles to the UK. Made with fruit from Elgin which is rapidly establishing itself as one of the cooler climates in South Africa this is a delicious, crunchy Pinot that has an enticing savoury edge.
An untraditional style, where elegance and true character prevail over colour and intensity. Gently compelling with aromas of the earth and stony minerality. The palate includes red fruits, cherries, a hint of spice and creamy refreshing acidity. This is pure, elegant, restrained Cinsault..
Wonderfully lifted perfumed nose with bright fleshy raspberry and crushed blackcurrant fruit and a touch of savoury gaminess and fresh almond smoothness on the finish. A great partner to rich and savoury red meat dishes such as salt-marsh lamb, or a gutsy bean casserole.
Deep and rich, layered aromas of dark berry fruit, spice adn some chocolate notes. Palate is elegant, medium-bodied but well balanced. Concentrated black fruit on entry matched by firm but elegant tannins.
The Wolftrap is a spicy, aromatic, red blend that has been French oak matured.
The Pouilly Fumé of Stellenbosch. Stunning!Crushed laurel on the nose with more than a nuance of residual seaside salt. This has a big and textured palate with stone fruit and fennel hints it is rich and minerally, showing even a slight rocky quality about it. As bracing as the wind through the vines at Waterkloof.
The long wild yeast ferment provides bready aromas and additional complexity to the wine. Dried herbaceous notes, including fennel and aniseed from the nearby Fynbos, dominate the nose, followed by a creamy lemon character. The palate is reminiscent of the nose, with great textural complexity (attributable to the long, slow wild yeast fermentation), and more herbal characters.
Vibrant and aromatic with delicious generous fresh apricot, nectarine and hints of passion fruit on the nose. A creamy palate with real fresh fruit flavours, fleshy just picked apricots with hints of guava. Bright acidity and minerality delivers a delicious balance.
An appealing light straw colour. Light with lovely ripe, attractive rounded fruit. Fresh floral nose and an exciting acid balance. Enjoy now with seafood, smoked salmon, roast chicken and pork.
