"... another gorgeous wine from Massolino in this important vintage. Here, too, the fruit is incredibly primary but in the Parafada the French oak has added a dimension of explosiveness and volume that is captivating. Hints of spices and flowers hint at the inner sweetness that should develop in bottle. The percent of French oak has come way down in this bottling, which gives the fruit a better chance to shine. I loved this powerful, dense Barolo..." WA
90 points Robert Parker "The 2005 Etna Rosso Rovittello is Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappucino that spends a year in French oak barrels. The Rovittello is made in a forward style that emphasizes fruit and a soft-textured, juicy personality. The wine-making approach yielded a generous, fruity wine but one that lacks the aromatics definition that defines this great, indigenous grape. Anticipated maturity 2010-20"

The cool climate of the Casablanca Valley is one of the few places, outside Burgundy where one may expect Pinot Noir to perform well. And perform well it most certainly does here; the Hermosa Pinot Noir is bright of hue, with an attractive Morello Cherry spicy nose and a palate which combines bright acidity and silky red-fruits. An impressive effort, not quite Burgundy, of course, but with many redeeming features, only one of which is the lack of a Burgundian price-tag.
Beautifully structured wine with delicious chocolate overtones
An intensely structured wine, expressing the depth and classic power of Cabernet Sauvignon driven blends. The high level of Shiraz and Malbec adds density and softens the wine, finishing with a typical dry and refreshing palate due to Cabernet Franc and Sangiovese.
