Elegant nose intermixing black fruits and mild spices. On the palate, very silky texture, abundant raciness. Noticeable substance with a fruit-driven aftertaste.
Du Pin is located in the Entre Deux Mers region of Bordeaux. The 2009 is easily the best wine they have yet produced. The aromatics of sweet cherries, black currants, subtle herbs, cedar, and spice box combined with a long, rich attack and mid-palate result in an impressive, supple-textured Grand Vin de Bordeaux to drink over the next 1-2 years. Delicious and great value for money
Dark chocolate covered cherries on the nose. A very nice balance of dark fruits, chocolate, espresso, and some earth. Paired nicely with turkey and chicken.
There is a wild ripeness of sweet orange-zest scented raspberry fruit twinned with an edgy woodland perfume. The palate is incredibly long and very rich with fleshy fruit flavours counterbalanced by a bitter, woody, character and a thread of honey.
